Key Release

This form ensures a clear understanding and agreement for key handling between the client and service provider, establishing trust and defining the scope of access and responsibility.

I hereby authorize Lexy Dogs & Pets Care to hold a key to my property. This key will allow The Walker access to my property for the purpose of performing agreed-upon dog walking and/or pet sitting services during the period specified above.The key will be securely held and will only be used for entering and exiting the property during the contracted service times. I understand that all precautions will be taken to ensure the security and confidentiality of my keys. I release Lexy Dogs & Pets Care from all liability that may result from the handling or use of my key, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

Upon termination of services or upon my request, the key will be promptly returned to me.

Off Lead Consent

This consent form ensures that pet owners are fully informed about the nature and implications of off-lead activities and have agreed to them, providing legal protection for the business and clarity for the pet owner.

I hereby give my consent for Lexy Dogs & Pets Care to allow my dog(s) to be off the lead during dog walking sessions in designated areas approved for such activities. I understand that this consent applies only to specific areas deemed safe and appropriate by [Walker‘s Name], where dogs are legally permitted to be off the lead.

I acknowledge that allowing my dog(s) to be off the lead involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, the risk of running away, potential conflicts with other animals, and possible injury. I accept that while Lexy Dogs & Pets Care will take all reasonable precautions to supervise my pet(s) and maintain safety at all times, the nature of off-lead activity means that absolute control over all circumstances is not possible.

I confirm that my dog(s) are healthy, vaccinated, and fit for off-lead activity. I have disclosed any behavior concerns or health issues that may affect their ability to safely interact with other dogs or people.

I hereby release, indemnify, and hold harmless Lexy Dogs & Pets Care, its agents, and employees from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from my dog’s participation in off-lead activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by Lexy Dogs & Pets Care.

Media Release

This form provides legal clarity and mutual agreement for the use of pet images and videos, ensuring both parties understand the scope and limitations of the media created during the service.

I, hereby grant Lexy Dogs & Pets Care the permission to take photographs and/or video recordings of my pet(s) during their provision of dog walking or pet sitting services. I agree that they may use such photographs and videos for the purpose of promoting their services through marketing materials, social media platforms, websites, and other promotional or informational publications. I understand that the images and videos may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my pet’s likeness appears.

Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the images and videos. I also release [Name of Dog Walker/Pet Sitting Business] and its agents, employees, and legal representatives from liability for any claims by me or any third party in connection with my pet’s participation.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

This Pet Service Agreement is designed to provide comprehensive details regarding the services Lexy Dogs & Pets Care (hereinafter referred to as “The Walker”)  will provide to You, (hereinafter referred to as “The Owner”) ensuring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience. By understanding and agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below, we can work together to provide the best care possible for your pet

The Service

Under the terms of this agreement, the Walker is entrusted with the care and safe handling of the Owner's dog(s) during scheduled walking/sitting sessions. The Walker commits to provide these services in a professional, diligent and responsible manner. The Walker agrees to maintain open, honest and clear communication and will provide regular feedback and updates to ensure the well being of your pet.  Additionally, the Walker agrees not to walk more than six dogs at any one time to ensure adequate attention and safety for each dog. The Walker is also responsible for observing and reporting any changes in the dog’s behavior or health, ensuring access to water during walks, and managing proper disposal of the dog’s waste.

The Owner's Responsibilities

The Owner agrees to provide all necessary items for each walk, including a suitable collar with ID tag, leash, harness, waste bags, and any other items deemed necessary for the safety and comfort of their dog(s). The Owner must ensure that their dog(s) are properly vaccinated, treated for fleas and ticks, and are in good health prior to each walking session. It is the Owner’s responsibility to inform the Walker of any specific behavioral issues, triggers or medical conditions their dog(s) may have, as well as any special instructions or restrictions related to their care. The Walker has the right to terminate and refuse any further services if the dog displays aggressive or  dangerous behavior. The Owner should ensure that access is provided to the dog during scheduled times including house keys and alarm codes where necessary. The Owner must also provide current contact information and be reachable during the walking sessions in case of emergency. 

Payment & Fees

Payment for dog walking services shall be made by the Owner according to the agreed schedule on a monthly or weekly basis. Invoices will be issued by the Walker on the last day of each service period, and payment is due within 5 days of the invoice date. A late payment fee of £15 will be applied for each week that the payment remains outstanding beyond the due date. This fee is intended to cover administrative costs associated with managing overdue payments. In cases of recurring late payments, the Walker reserves the right to suspend services until the account is settled in full. To avoid disruption of service, Owners are encouraged to adhere to the specified payment terms.

Cancellation & Termination Policy

The Owner may cancel scheduled dog walking services by providing at least 24 hours' notice prior to the scheduled time. If cancellation occurs with less than 24 hours' notice, the Owner will be charged 50% of the fee for the missed walk, as this late cancellation does not provide the Walker with sufficient opportunity to allocate the time slot to another client. Either party may terminate this agreement at any time with written notice. If the Owner wishes to terminate the services, a notice period of 14 days should be given. Similarly, if the Walker decides to terminate the services, the Owner will be notified at least 14 days in advance, unless unforeseen circumstances justify an immediate termination. This policy is intended to ensure fairness and adequate adjustment time for both parties involved.

Confidentiality

The Walker acknowledges that during the course of providing dog walking/sitting services, they may have access to private and confidential information pertaining to the Owner's personal details, home security arrangements, and information about the dog(s) that is not publicly available. The Walker agrees to maintain the confidentiality of all such information and to use it solely for the purpose of performing the dog walking services as outlined in this agreement. The Walker is prohibited from disclosing this information to any third party, unless required by law or with the explicit consent of the Owner. This confidentiality obligation shall continue during the term of this agreement and will remain in effect indefinitely after its termination.

Liability

The Owner acknowledges and agrees that allowing their dog(s) to be cared by the Walker involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of physical injury, loss, or damage to their dog, as well as exposure to other animals, people, and outdoor environments. While the Walker agrees to provide reasonable care and supervision to minimize such risks, the Owner hereby releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Walker from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from the dog walking services provided, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the Walker. It is the Owner's responsibility to secure comprehensive pet insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the time their pet is under the Walker's care. This waiver does not affect the Owner's statutory rights.

Force Majeure

The Owner acknowledges and agrees that allowing their dog(s) to be cared by the Walker involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of physical injury, loss, or damage to their dog, as well as exposure to other animals, people, and outdoor environments. While the Walker agrees to provide reasonable care and supervision to minimize such risks, the Owner hereby releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless the Walker from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from the dog walking services provided, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the Walker. It is the Owner's responsibility to secure comprehensive pet insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during the time their pet is under the Walker's care. This waiver does not affect the Owner's statutory rights.
